A dim, earthen room like a tunnel: a figure lies in a bed at the centre, an open book radiates light from a table, small figures work below it. A doorway glows green at the back.

The Book Beneath the Earth

In a dark, earthen room an open book glows like a light source of its own. Around it various figures and occupations carry on, as though a whole world went on working beneath the visible surface. The book can be understood as stored knowledge, as memory, or as inner truth. Its position deep underground points to layers of consciousness that are not directly reachable. A green door opens at the back and suggests a way out. “The Book Beneath the Earth” speaks of insights that must first be found before they can be understood.
